Community Guidelines
Pickup sports work when people are welcoming, dependable, honest, and safe. These rules apply to profiles, listings, organizer reviews, reports, support messages, and conduct at games organized through Yamme.
1. Respect everyone
Do not harass, threaten, humiliate, intimidate, discriminate against, or repeatedly target another person. Competitive play and constructive criticism are welcome; personal abuse is not.
2. Play safely
Follow the rules of the sport and facility. Do not deliberately injure others, start fights, make reckless challenges, use equipment as a weapon, conceal dangerous conditions, or pressure an injured person to continue playing.
3. Respect consent and boundaries
Unwanted sexual conduct, stalking, repeated unwanted contact, secret recording, sharing intimate material without consent, grooming, or retaliation against someone for setting a boundary is prohibited.
4. Protect privacy
Do not publish or misuse another person’s home address, phone number, private messages, precise location, identification numbers, financial information, medical information, workplace, school, or other sensitive details without authorization.
5. No commercial activity
Yamme is intended for free recreational pickup games. Do not charge participation fees, sell or promote products or services, advertise businesses, offer paid coaching, organize paid leagues or tournaments, solicit sponsorships, share affiliate links, recruit customers, or direct users elsewhere to complete a commercial transaction.
6. Be honest
Do not impersonate others, create fake games, misrepresent reservations, manipulate attendance or XP, submit false reports, coordinate fake ratings or reviews, conceal a commercial purpose, or falsely represent your identity, age, skill level, or affiliation.
7. Create responsible listings
State the sport, location, date, time, skill level, available spaces, equipment requirements, restrictions, and reservation status accurately. Update or cancel a listing promptly when plans change. Do not use listings to distribute external links, spam, malicious code, or unrelated content.
8. Join responsibly
Join only when you intend to attend. Arrive on time, bring required equipment, follow listed requirements, and cancel promptly when necessary. Repeated or deliberate no-shows may affect attendance history and may lead to restrictions.
9. Ratings and reviews
Organizer ratings and written reviews must reflect your genuine experience at the game. Do not use reviews for harassment, retaliation, discrimination, spam, extortion, coordinated manipulation, or unrelated disputes. Constructive negative feedback is allowed when it is relevant and respectful.
10. Respect facilities and neighbours
Follow facility hours, permits, noise rules, property boundaries, parking rules, and staff instructions. Do not trespass, damage property, leave garbage, block access, or interfere with another authorized activity.
11. Photos and recordings
Ask before taking or publishing identifiable photos or recordings. Do not secretly record private conversations, post humiliating injury footage, publish inappropriate images of minors, or use someone’s image to impersonate or harass them.
12. Protect minors
Sexual exploitation, grooming, requests for intimate images, inappropriate adult-minor contact, pressure to meet secretly, or irresponsible sharing of a minor’s precise location is strictly prohibited and may be reported to appropriate authorities.
13. No threats, weapons, or serious violence
Do not threaten serious harm, organize fights, bring weapons, encourage credible attacks, or retaliate against someone who reports a safety concern. Serious threats may lead to immediate suspension and referral to authorities.
14. No spam, malicious content, or manipulation
Do not send repeated unwanted promotions, post unrelated advertising, distribute malicious or deceptive links, inject scripts or unsafe markup, use unauthorized bots, scrape user data, manipulate ratings or attendance, create fake engagement, or direct users to deceptive or unsafe services.
15. Reporting concerns
Use Yamme’s reporting or support tools for genuine concerns involving users, games, reviews, fraud, privacy, harassment, or dangerous conduct. Include relevant facts and evidence where available. False, malicious, or retaliatory reports may themselves lead to enforcement.
16. Emergencies
Yamme is not an emergency service. When someone is in immediate danger or seriously injured, contact emergency services or facility personnel first.
17. Enforcement
Depending on severity, history, evidence, and risk, Yamme may provide guidance, remove content, cancel games, issue warnings, restrict features, remove organizer privileges, suspend accounts, permanently close accounts, preserve evidence, or contact authorities.
Serious violence, sexual misconduct, child exploitation, stalking, credible threats, serious fraud, or repeated enforcement evasion may lead to immediate removal without prior warnings.
18. Appeals and contact
Users may request review of a significant enforcement decision through Yamme support. Appeals should identify the decision, explain why it may be incorrect, and include any relevant new information. Support can also be reached at support@yamme.ca.
